ABOUT HANNAH

I’m Hannah, and I’m a dog walker and trainer dedicated to helping animals live their best life possible. In 2016, I met my sweet, scared little rescue greyhound Maggie while volunteering at an animal shelter. Driven to help her, I bid farewell to my career in publishing and have been studying and working with positive, evidence-informed dog training and behaviour ever since.

My dog training methodology considers the emotions and motivations underlying dog behaviour, which facilitates effective and ethical training solutions for dog guardians.  As your behaviour trainer, I work out the why, then provide you with the how, when and where to address behaviour concerns so that you and your dog can live a happy, harmonious life together. My priority is helping you meet your dogs’ needs in a manner that is safe and enriching to them.

With a background in animal rescue and years of experience in pound facilities, shelters and independent animal rescue groups, I’m passionate about maximising animals’ welfare in all the work I do.

I’ve been operating my own dog walking business (Hello Pup) in the inner-eastern suburbs of Melbourne since mid-2022, providing group park outings, solo and training walks for reactive dogs, and home visits for all manner of species who needed care while their guardians were away. I also ran puppy classes in Elwood in 2023.

I’m currently undertaking a Certificate IV in Animal Training and Behaviour at the Delta Institute, and frequently attend workshops and seminars to ensure my knowledge evolves in alignment with the current body of scientific research on animal behaviour. I’ve also had the privilege of working alongside some of the best trainers/behaviour consultants and veterinary behaviourists in Melbourne.
